Foreclosure sales are down nationally, but sales in metro Toledo come at nearly half the price of houses not in foreclosure, a report shows.
One of every four home sales in metro Toledo was foreclosure related in the April-through-June period, compared with one out of three nationwide, according to figures released Wednesday by RealtyTrac Inc., a California real-estate data firm.
But a separate report Wednesday shows housing prices in the second quarter were down from a year earlier less in Toledo than other major Ohio cities. Plus, Toledo’s drop was half the national rate, according to the Federal Housing Financing Agency.
